Brighton and Hove City Council has put forward proposals to shut Brighton History Centre as part of a bid to save almost £8 million from its overall budget in the next year.

But its users claim the closure, which will save the council £62,000, will be a devastating blow.

Photographer Bob Willoughby has died at his home in Vence, France, aged 82. For many years he was the one of the most prominent still cameramen in the international film industry, largely due to his unobtrusive style and aesthetic sensibility. In To Views is a new blog site from Paul Grimsley, (a highly creative, cross-genre poet and ‘regular renaissance man’), and he is currently profiling upcoming writers, artists and musicians there on a daily basis.
