Yes I’ve heard about the new Jane Eyre movie, I’m always afraid of watching book adaptations (especially when it’s a book I adore !), I know there are already a lot of Jane Eyre movies but I never saw any. Maybe the new one !

Had Marilyn been a little younger, it would have been perfect for her. But Carroll is very good.

I love Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights and I am currently reading everything I can about the Bronte sisters. They were so talented. I hope to visit the Bronte parsonage this year. And I’d love to write about them one day and when I do, you’ll be the first to know!

(A new movie is being made of Jane Eyre I believe, with Michael Fassbender and Mia Wasikowska…)

I’m sure I knew Marilyn wasn’t the first, but it didn’t occur to me that it was actually popular. So much writing about Marilyn just feeds into her child-woman personna and ignores the actual cultural background. Great post as always, and I am happy to be learning most tidbits.
